Chad Block back in the saddle with Knighthawk Racing:

Chad Block will again strap on the shoes and do battle in the American Le Mans event next weekend at Laguna Seca in Monterey California. The last time Chad made an appearance in the car he qualified the car on pole at the Trois-Rivieres event a little more than a month ago.

The Gestetner sponsored driver has had success in the past at the beautiful and challenging Laguna Seca circuit and would like to pick up where he left off when the Star Mazda Championship ended there last year.

"Last season we had the final championship deciding Mazda race at Laguna, unfortunately we had a pole position and critical points taken away for a technical infraction on the car. Luckily we made our way from 43rd place up to 5th place at the finish. It cost us the Championship though so I'm looking forward to getting back on the track there, and maybe get some personal gratification."

Gestetner Office Equipment, who has been a very loyal sponsor of Chad for the entire 2002 season, has signed on again for the final three races of the year. The Gestener dealers from the region have been invited to come to the track and witness the American Le Mans spectacle in person.

"We have a strong driver line-up for the race, so I think we have a good chance. The car is still a little bit of a gremlin nightmare, but it's coming along. Maybe this will be our weekend. If it is, the Gestetner people will get to witness it first hand and that would be perfect."

The race is 2 hours and 45 mins on Sunday the 22nd and will be broadcast on Speed Channel.
