Asked this time last season "what will you be doing next year this time?" Chad would have certainly not responded with "driving a le mans prototype 900 car"

But that statement has come to fault, as Chad will be piloting the Gunnar/Jackson Panoz LMP900 car at Sebring in the 12 hour race. After his impressive performance at the Daytona 24 hour, and at his brief test in the LOLA MG 675 car, Chad was presented with this opportunity.

"I really didn't expect this, maybe the MG car, but not the full 900 class car. The Panoz is a beast, but I am ready for the challenge. I am also interested in the opportunity to work with Mr. Panoz' affiliations and their teams."

Chad will be teamed up with Panoz factory pilot Gunnar Jeannette and past superbike racer and historic car collecter and driver Wayne Jackson.

"I am very very pleased to be able to join their squad. I met Gunnar through a close friend and Archangel employee Ryan Eversely. Ryan has been very productive with introducing me to other teams, and he was instrumental in developing my relationship with Gunnar racing. I can't wait to get there and meet Mr. Jackson also. This is the type of opportunity I expected to be faced with for 2003, but I am ready and up to the challenge. I can't wait to be affiliated with Panoz Motor Sports, these are some big shoes to fill, but I will do my best to do so."

Last year at Sebring Chad won the Mazda race pretty handily...

"We had a great car last year at Sebring, and dominated most sessions and the race. This will be a totally different scenerio to be in, but I'm confident with Gunnar's talent, and working with Wayne, we will be sucessful."
